When I went to France last summer I fell in love with macaroons. You can buy them in supermarkets and in cafes over there and i must have eaten so many! Now my mum and dad have moved there I got them to send me some over as I couldn’t find anywhere to get them in Manchester, they were a little bit battered and a day past their best by date but still delicious! I recently took a trip to London and went on a macaroon mission. I ended up in Selfridges where I spend the first half hour walking round all the designer clothing and ended up in the shoe floor and wow, it was amazing. The Christian Louboutin show room was so mental, sadly I went on valentines day so there were girls everywhere trying on Manolos and Louboutins with their wealthy boyfriends but nethertheless it was amazing to see all the shoes. So after lusting for a while at what I can’t afford I found my way to the macaroons and man was it exciting. Firstly they were all french men serving behind which was amazing and then once I had chosen from all the flavours, the packaging was a lovely surprise (and at £13 for 7 I would think so too) The chocolate and coffee flavour was my favourite, they also had a lime and raspberry that looked pretty but those french are slightly experimental with their flavourings….
